Default shocks and cart vs car tires

I know there's a lot of threads talking about sizes etc but I couldn't find anything that really discussed pro cons recently so...

I've got a Yamaha Drive2 that I've swapped to lithium (Team extreme HO battery that may have me a little worried now), Plowman's Riot motor and controller, with the RHOX 505 6" a-arm lift kit and currently have 23x10x14's on that are above average aggressive tread.

I've been fighting a horrible drivability issue and while I think I've finally gotten it drivable again I'm looking to make it even better and thinking about a couple things and wanted others opinions. I finally got it drivable again by setting camber several degrees positive and toe'ed it in slightly. The camber looks crazy but it works. I want to replace the shocks all around because it's an 18 and it was obviously a course cart for the first couple years then I play with it not as gently as I probably should. I also want to swap out the tires because I think the knobbies are causing a little walking at higher speeds just like you'd feel riding a dirt bike on the street.

So my questions are;
1. Should I stick with the factory shocks for electric or are there better options ie gas cart shocks since I've removed the weight of the lead batteries (although it now has a backseat so does that offset?) Same question for front and rear. BTW when I added the lift I bought a set of front shocks that had "additional camber adjustment" in the form of two mounting holes on the bottom problem is they flex like crazy so they're out, Chinese junk IMO.

2. I've been looking at going to 15' wheels for awhile anyway so for new tires is there a reason not to look at car tires instead of cart specific tires? I've found some 205/50r15's that look cool, are the same money as cart tires, and I guarantee will balance out better. The overall package may be a couple pounds heavier per wheel but only by a couple pounds 2-3 if all the published weights are accurate. They may be a little narrower but my existing 23/10/14's only measure ~9 anyway and these will be much flatter. Any cons that I'm missing?

TIA
