Default EZGO PDS 36v - 48v - now 48v LifePO4 - Alltrax - Regen

Recently upgraded to lithium battery and have made some settings to my Alltrax already like removing regen. I can't seem to find the final say on what regen is possible if any. Seems a bit strange to be able to coast the cart now...especially with all the new umph.

Thanks...any other PDS Alltrax controller setting recommendations welcomed!

Watch your downhill speed. The motor may explode when RPMS exceed safe limits

Don’t have many hills here in Florida but I’m trying to understand your caution. Can you elaborate?

You need to hook up a laptop with the Alltrax software and put it on the monitor page to make sure the controller is seeing the speed sensor. Once you get that working you can set an RPM limit as well as some regen parameters.

Most DC motors are safe tor operate up to 6000 RPM unless they are bonded. Bonded means the windings for the commutator are wrapped in some way to prevent centrifugal force from destroying the armature. If you're at 6000 RPM WOT and start going down an incline without lifting off of the go pedal you can easily exceed the 6000 RPM limit. POW! You'll be coming to an abrupt stop, fasten your seat belt!

What is deemed safe regen? Not trying to add any issues but I did like the regen function.
