I ran my ezgo 100 to 1 for about 30 years it ran fine never clogged up my muffler and I just rebuilt it this year it still ran just low on power and had to drop the rear axle to put in a new secondary clutch so I just dropped the sub frame and redid the motor while I was in there so I would suggest premix

Did you typixally run it for more than 5 minutes at a time ? Folks that do are typically ok. And I'm sure not everyone had the issue but it's fairly common if you search here.

Yep. Cheap bearing ate itself. I try to stick with timken or koyo bearings and you should be fine

I'm fairly certain they are one in the same now. Timken was a customer of mine and years ago they stopped making thier own automotive bearings so they could focus on industrial bearings which are much more profitable. I know they have a Japanese manufacturer make them now.

Wasn’t aware of that but I can’t say I’d be surprised if that were the case.

Either way both brands are good quality bearings, can’t go wrong with either

Hard to tell from the picture but I’ve heard some of the replacement bearing having plastic bearing cages and they come apart.
