I need to measure the current choke cable I have

There are three option for choke cable lengths

22-1/4" : 25693-G04
31-1/2" : 72401-G02
60-1/2" : 72401-G01

Well I have the 31" cable and I'm not wanting to spend $80 on the 60" oem part

I had no idea that aftermarket cables would work and came in so many length varieties.....for under $20!!!

I'm going to measure so it sits on top of the aluminum bracket I built and can be secured with a riser

The green wire is 18" long

Should I try for a 50" choke cable?

Almost 10" shorter than the 72401-G01 and $50 cheaper!

Hope it works, the next step down is 45"/47" (290-745 Choke Cable).....which the curve radius to the choke bracket might be too short and create a tight curve

Hopefully the choke cable comes in by Thursday so I can get that installed and adjusted

Then this weekend I want to figure out the throttle cable

I'm waiting to finish the exhaust until I know if the belt/engine needs to be adjusted at all

Onto the wiring for the engine next

I would like to eventually look at an oil pressure gauge and a fuel level gauge

I believe my tank already has the sending unit installed, just needs the wiring ran and a gauge installed

Did you look for an automotive choke cable? Less than $20 usually.

Yes, I like the Stens part with the push pull style end and the Z bent end for the connection point on the choke lever
