By the looks of your picture the motor need moved over to the right a few inches
Other than eyeballing it, how can I line it up?

I assume the valley of the primary and secondary clutch should be lined up

Maybe I need to use a square or a laser?

I don't want to go off the clutches inner and outer plated, since they are shaped and constructed differently

Where or how does the red wire get hook up to, just directly to the battery or?

I lay a nice straight 2 X 4 edgewise to line up the pulley's centers. Remember they move in opposite directions.

Engine came out two times tonight

With my current belt I couldn't get anything lined up or squared up

First engine removal was to rotate the billet plate 180° the second engine removal was to flip it over.......finally was able to get the billet plate holed to match up on the cradle and to get the four engine bole holes to match up with the slots in the billet plate

Now, with my current belt installed, I think it's way too short of a belt

The engine is back so far the oil cooler and oil filter are way too close to the rear diff

Also. The VC instructions say the bolt spacing for the two clutches should be 12-1/2" and I'm currently at 11"

I think I need a longer belt so the engine can move forward about 2" away from the diff

This is my current belt:

I'm going to have to buy a 45" belt.....$23 on Amazon

Just curious what length belt everyone else is running, stock or lengthen?

VC said the MPT series was tricky to get a swap done in and while it hasn't been a straightforward swap project, there's only been a few hiccups

Hopefully the new longer belt helps and I can get the engine adjusted and bolted down

Then onto exhaust mock up and wiring time during February

VC stated "I know 42" way too short. We use a 47.5" belt for that swap"

I was originally told the kit uses the stock size belt.....guess not!

I hope the 45" works but now I'm thinking about ordering an even longer one just in case, then returning whichever isn't used

46" isn't too bad of price......$50 shipped

47" there's a huge price jump.....I'll wait and see how the 45" and 46" works first

I canceled the order for the 45" belt

Ordered the two following belts:

# LMX-1036; 46.00"
# 36398-97; 47.50"

Hopefully one of these fits better than the 42" belt, that I'll just sell since it's in great shape
