Default Leveling motor on 2000 DS (FE290)

OK, so I have read this both ways. Some say to level the motor, others say to do an oil change, and re-mark the dipstick. I would like to do this before the cart is re-assembled, if it needs to be done. Opinions?

I'd lower it.

I opted to lower the front of my engine pan because I run higher than normal lift, and RPM's.
I just wanted to make sure of proper oil circulation. (and to keep the dreaded oil light from coming on!)

There's going to be a bit more work then "just adding an extension" to the snubber bracket on your 2000 though,
You'll also have to modify/replace your intake manifold on the carburetor,
to a 90 degree manifold to avoid the intake tube from hitting the Electrical Components Box!

The Briggs and Stratton 90 degree manifold I used is no longer available, But, there is another one Briggs has that will work,
you'll just have to modify the carb stud holes on the adapter (oblong) for it to fit. (not sure of the part number of that one.)

Here's the link on how I did mine...

OK, if it matters, this one is going to stay at 6" of lift for a while. There were thoughts of going higher, but at 4'11", my wife likes where it is, she doesn't want to have to "climb in" like my truck.

Lockman, I cannot find the 90* elbow anywhere. Do you have any ideas?

I posted in the thread that Lockman posted above, there is another similar part number that one guy used to do his setup since the 691368 is now obsolete.

The other part number is 697122. I'm about to start looking for one now.
