club car model recomendation
I want to get an electric CC preferably an older one due to budget. My intended use is mostly in the woods hunting.
Is there a particular year I should stay away from? A particular model which is easier to work on? What year did they stop using the coils? I looked at an older 36v with coils yesterday and didn't care for the idea in just a short run they got pretty hot, I could see this being a problem running thru dogfennels. Thankyou Jim Last edited by Jim C; 10-26-2008 at 10:45 PM.. Reason: sp |

Re: club car model recomendation
Well I got the 04, I was led to believe the batteries were not original but in todays investigation it has a hodge podge of batteries all are trogan but one is an 02, one is an 06 and the rest are 03.
This morn after chargin last night all read 8v and total was 50v (my greenlee meter doesn't read tenths). It is supposed to have the 4th program which is 19mph but I only got 15.8mhp (gps) on flat ground. I took the cart around the block twice this afternoon, a 6mile ride on the highway, and a short jaunt thru the woods at the end and barely made it home. When I checked the batteries for temp one seemed warmer so I got the IR thermometer out and found that all were at the mid 65-69* but the 02 battery was 108*, checked fluid and it was o.k. This morn after charging I added a little dist. water to a couple of cells of the batteries (I didn't have to add anything to the 02 as I recall) and only two cells of all of them were at the plates. I guess I'll give it a full charge tonight and see what happens tomorrow. I thought this thing should go closer to 20mi vs 6 mi.? Last edited by Jim C; 10-28-2008 at 08:37 PM.. Reason: grammer |
