Default Club Car project ---HELP

I approached this subject a while back and need to do something. I have a 1986 Club Car that's lifted, wheels and tires and nice leather seats. I have a lake house in Michigan and it has a dirt road around it and numerous trails.

My thoughts were to replace the suspension with the Jake independent suspension and upgrade to a bigger motor and what ever else you season cart veterans may suggest. I have a few friends that have RZR and would like to ride with them. The CC has the fold down seat and I can use it as a carryall also.

I'm I wasting my money or should I be looking at a UTV, I'm willing to spend 3000.00 - 5000.00 on the CC

Thank you in advance

This is a resistor coil drive system. Convert to solid state, 48v, and aftermarket motor to make it all it can be. I think you will like the results and stay well under budget.

Yes for 3000-5000 you can have a helluva cart. You can search the threads to see the solid state conversion and 48v conversion.

So yours saying getting away from the 23HP high torque motor Buggy Unlimited was offering last year. I believe it was 23HP. This sounds like a big undertaking, switching a gas motor to a electric set up?

Sorry didn't see where this was a gas cart so I assumed it was electric.

I try to buy from smaller businesses rather than someone like BU. Check out http://vegascarts.com/webstore/

I would say the 23 Motor , with a Jake suspension and disk brake calipers would be great
