yamaha G1 battery
Anyone know what type battery I need for a 1982 yamaha G1? How many cranking amps?

Group 24. On the lower compression G1's, You should be good at 400 or more CCA's. Also, remember the small red/white wire from the battery positive lead (that runs down to the wire harness) must be in good shape. That is main power for the harness...no good...car...no go.

Hey smallblock got a question for you please, since this is about batteries this wouldn't hurt anything will it? In my G1 that I am customizing (one of these years it will be done) I have turn signals, brake lights, running lights, 2 head lights, 4 running lights, hi power stereo, horns. I have a 1100 amp battery in it one of them 6 round cell types for high power stereos in cars.
