Default park lights and head lights

ok guys on my 2006 cc iq ds I have a standard light kit, front and rear. how and what can I add to "separate" my park lights from my head lights so i can turn on each individually. I want a switch for park light/rear lights and a switch for regular headlights.

is this as simple as just tracing the wires out and adding another switch inline for breaking the power to the main headlights?

anybody ever do this?

I'm not familiar with your setup, but I'll get the ball rolling. Please describe how many wires go into each headlight.

this is a typical light kit, from what I've seen most all club cars have this type or one very similar. Hope these pics work.

Headlight kit For DS model Club Cars
Includes Head Lights, Tail Lights, & Wiring Harness.
Wiring harness includes a relay and on/off switch. I use a voltage reducer from 48V to 12V also.

And

Head lights connections:

Harness cream plug to headlight cream plug black wire ground, red wire hot.
Harness black wire ground with loop connection to marker light terminal stud.
Harness red wire hot male connection to marker light black female connection.

need more info?

The simple $3 fix, put a toggle switch between the headlights and park lights. When you turn on the lights, the park lights and tail lights come on, throw the toggle switch adds the headlights.

I think it is done with a multi post switch, in park the power is to the parking lights front and rear tail. In head lamp two posts are hot the one for the head lights and the other one.
They are generic parts at an auto store both push pull and twist.
