G1 Noise ??

A question???: Sometimes when I initially step on the throttle after a pause (to hit a golf shot) my 82 G1 makes a funny noise just before the engine starts up to go. Kind of a CHshhhhh, sounds like compression releasing or a tire losing air(tires are fine) Anyone know what that might be and if it is a problem? The cart continues to run fine. Mike
