Converting Precedent
I want to convert my 2005 Precedent from 4X12=48 volt to 6X8=48 volt is that a problem? Do I need to change anything else besides batts.?

As long as you end up with 48 volts it will work just fine.

The newest precedents have the 6 8v battery setups as an options. I think you can buy a conversion kit. I'm not sure of that though.

He should get better run times with the 8v vs 12v.

No, you WOULD get better run times out of a 6 8v batteries vs. 4 12v batteries. The same as the old EZ-GO industrial vehicles using 8 6vs for endurance and longevity.
You can't put into 4 what you can put into 8. The 4 12v system is more than enough to run 36 holes of golf a day, but some people just want more :-) |

I am curious as to why you would want to make that change? why are you going from 4-12 to 6-8?
