Lift question

New to carts and just got my first one. It's a 95 club car DS. My plans for this are to build a really big cart just to drive down to the boat docks at my cottage-all roads no trails or anything. I would like to run 30 inch tires and 14 inch wheels. I would like to make my own lift because that is how I am. My guestion is this. On a Z lift if I were to make my own say like a 10 inch has anyone done this? what about the rear? I have seen instruction on how to install the factory Z lift and I have seen pictures of them installed. By the look in the pics and instructions yo cut the frame 16 inches back from the front.and bolt on the brackets right?? It looks like to me that the factory Zlift brackets move the front syspention forward does it move it forward and if so how much? Thanks in advance I am sure I will have many more question on this cart.
