1988 DS Starter Belt
I have tightened my belt up a couple times and it keeps getting slack. I don't see how it's possible that the bolts are letting the starter/generator slip so, is it just that the belt is worn and it is continuing to stretch?
Also, it's probably best to change the drive belt while I'm at it, right? |

Re: 1988 DS Starter Belt
If they both look worn and you don't know how old they are, yeah I'd replace them. The main drive belt is loose enough that it can be changed with zero tools.
