Where did you buy these voltage regulators ? Were they the cheap ones or OEM from EZGO ?

There are only three wires on the V/R so it pretty simple.
Red = battery voltage and in this cart that happens when you push the pedal.
Black = ground Make sure that wire is getting a good ground.
Green= Field wire Goes to DF post on the S/G .

Get your meter and check according to this picture.
The S/G will not cause it to overcharge. At least none I have seen. Someone can correct if I am wrong

To test if a V/R is not working we ground that field wire and the S/G will produce up to 18 volts if the S/G is good. That's where your V/R takes command. Your S/G seems to be doing its job. You don't want to run one long if its putting out full voltage. Won't be long and your ignitor will be fried.

Look good at this picture and you will find your problem. If you don't have a wiring problem then your V/R is the problem.

That is exactly how it is wired in. It is just an aftermarket regulator. What is strange is,the original regulator and s/g did the same exact thing

I'm gonna get an oem on Monday. If that doesn't fix it,I don't know what to think.
