EZGO new F/R switch now no REVERSE???

Well I took out the F/R switch and checked the contacts with the mechanical stop and everything lines up perfectly....its got to be somthing else...I am getting full battery pack on ALL the post....it will go forward but no reverse...if i swtich the right and left cables on the FR switch it moves in reverse....

next thing I would check is the continuity of the REV micro switch.......

Dose it beep when you put it in reverse? are you able to check continuity of the reverse micro switch? if not turn the cart off unplug the two wires going to the reverse micro switch and in stall a automotive fuse into the two wires that were going to the micro switch. put it in reverse turn the key on. Let us know the results.

Just had the same issue with a similar cart. It ended up being a faulty f/r reverse that was shipped. Sent it back and got a new one. Now it works fine.

Seriously though getting rid of the lever was one of the best things I did.

I have continuity on the reverse microswitch......the orange rev wire is activating the controller so I'm assuming the microswitch is good...i am at a total loss here

I'd say send the f/r switch back and get a new one. You've done everything i know to do

I had the same thing happen with my cart. It would go in fwd but not reverse. Swapped cables to motor (S1 and S2) and would only go in reverse. It drove me nuts but then, having looked at everything else, I replaced the two micro switches with ones taken from an unserviceable F&R switch and it works fine.
If you have an old F&R switch that you can get parts from, try it. It should only take a few minutes to do. Maybe that’s your problem.
