Re: Hunting buggy project so far
Wow I like the all black look...But for more a hunting buggy look why not go with some camo seat covers and a camo slip cover for the roof...either way thats a cool looking cart...

Re: Hunting buggy project so far
It's all just personal preference. I Just wanted to go for the all black look.
On another note, does anyone know the best way to ensure the toe-in is set properly and alignment is right? I just don't want to have spent all this money in tires just to have them wear quickly due to it not having proper alignment and toe-in. |

Re: Hunting buggy project so far
Cart looks great! I'm in the process of building a '03 TXT with the same theme. I love the blacked out look on almost any type of vehicle. How much did the Line-x coating set you back? I called the closest Line-X dealer to me (about 70 miles away) and asked the guy for a really rough ballpark estimate and he wouldn't give me one. I told him I wasn't asking for a definite quote and that I wasn't going to hold him to anything, just wanted to know if it was closer to $200 or $2000 and still he just wouldn't give me a ballpark. I told him I'm not dragging my cart 140 miles round trip without ANY idea of a rough estimate. So, I ran across the build thread on bowslayer's TXT, which he coated with Rustoleum truck bed coating. It looks REALLY nice as well. I tried Duplicolor truck bed coating on my rocker panel pieces as a test and it wasn't as "flat" of a look as what I'm looking for and it has a little more texture than what I want. He said he has done a few with it and had really good results and that the stuff is bullet proof. It's about $8/can and I figure about 6-8 cans should do the entire body and roof. We shall see..............

Re: Hunting buggy project so far
Added an Allsport rear flip flop seat. Pretty easy to put on... very happy with it.
I got the black front seat covers ordered from UpToParCovers on ebay. |
