Default Goose Egg

Im not coming up with much in the way of Aftermarket for my 79 G1. I would like to lift it at least. Im thinking I might just have to fab something myself..However, I noticed some are using Quad Fronts Assemblies.. Is there a good or bad Model front end??? Im new to all of this stuff so maybe I am not looking in the right places for answers...Hope someone can help!!!

Thank you,,,

Jakes makes a few, I know CPP has them, other sponsors I'm sure will have them also.

1982-up G1's had spindles with separate arms that would unbolt from the spindle. 1979-81 G1's had one-piece spindles. Aftermarket lift kits include replacement arms to replace the factory ones. Since your arms won't unbolt from the spindles, you must either replace your present spindles and hubs (they are different too) with a set for a 1982-up buggy or weld and modify your present arms to match the lift kit. Here is a pic of how I modified a set of early spindles for a lift kit I made.

You can buy a lift for an 1982-up G1 and fit it to your 79 as I did. Everything is a bolt on except the spindle and hubs.
The steering arm is wrong on the 79 also.....but you get the correct steering arm with Jakes kit that will fit the later model spindles.
Skarp in the classifieds has /had the spindles you need for this swap.

Below is the 79 spindle on jakes lift....won't fit.
