87 ez go new batteries don't last but a few minutes
87 ez go I bought for my Mama and I don't know anything about them. I put 3 new 12 volt deep cycle batteries in it, charged all 3 batteries on 20 amps car charger all night. It will run for a few minutes and dies but the batteries will still have 11.5 to 12.6 volts in them. I put a load checker on each and I've had 1 go down to 4 volts replaced it with a car battery. Then another new battery goes down to 5 volts replace it still runs a few minutes on flat ground. I do need a accelerator board with contacts and a wiper control arm if anybody has 1 .
Thanks for any help |

Take those marine batteries back for a full refund, Quick as you can! Then buy "golf cart deep cycle batteries". Those interior marine batteries are put into the worst possible configuration, 36v & resistor speed control.

Ok I'll see if walmart will take them back. I know I have charged them several times and checked and it's like they won't hold a charge. Mama is almost 83 years old and she wont be riding much. What cheap batteries could I get by with ? Thank you for the info.

Most gas carts can be slowed down with a linkage adjustment.
May want to post make model of gas cart in proper forum to get advice. May be less expensive option to new batteries for this cart?😊 |
