Default Ordered lift kit today

So I finally went ahead and ordered a Jakes spindle lift kit for my Yamaha G22 gasser. All along my plan was to order the 6 inch kit. When I called to order it the woman that answered the phone told me they don't recommend the 6 inch lift. She said she would have someone call me rite back and talk to me about it. They called back and were very persistent in convincing me how terrible the karts handle when lifted that much. He said he had 30 years of kart building experience and strongly suggested the 3 inch lift kit and 22 inch tires. My cart is mostly a campground cruiser but will see a good amount of off road action. There's a bunch of trails out behind the campground it will get used on. I decided to take his advice and go with the 3 inch kit instead. Since placing the order though I keep wondering if I made the rite decision. Anyone have any input?

What ever happened to "the customer is always right" rule?
If you called me looking for Part-A I'd sell it to you.
Well, unless.. maybe if I didn't have it in stock.
There are lots of 6 inch lift kit owner on this list, and I'd be hard pressed to find one in which the owner said "gee, I wish I would have gone with half as much lift".

I don't know who you are buying this from, but when the young lady had told me that what I wanted was not what I wanted. I would have found someone else to buy what I wanted. I would call them back and cancel your order.

Sounds to me like maybe someone has some excess inventory they're trying to get rid of. I agree with Shriner, if you wanted a 6" lift cancel the order and buy from someone who will sell you what YOU want!

This advice came from someone who is very well respected in the cart community. Plowmans. Besides the looks is there any real advantage? I guess slightly bigger tires. He tells me they get real squirrely at speed and in the corners with the 6 inch kit? What do you think?

Any time you lift a vehicle you lose some stability. That said, is not trade my 6" lift for a 3". Not a chance. We rip around town in it every day. No doubt, the center of gravity is higher but it's still great.

I guess it would depend on if it was a 6" Spindle lift or a 6" A-Arm. If it was a spindle lift it would definitely be unstable at speed

I ended up with about 12" of lift on my G1 when I was done. I did add 4" of width with spacers and a bit by the offset of the wheels. Probably a total of 6"-8" of added width.

I am right now running 22-11-10" tires and have not found it to be super unstable even at the height I'm running. Just for reference, I have 21" ground to floorboard.

I'd cancel the order and get what I wanted if it were me!
