Default '01 series ezgo fried ignition interlock

So I spent way too much time working through a variety of testng procedures to come up with deciphering that I have a fried ignition interlock (hopefully useing the correct terminolgy)....the pigtail red wire to white wire coupled into a fuse type thingy red wire at the charge receptacle. Those are the technical terms My point of concern is that a microswitch on the f/r selector shorted and fried the fuse...

I guess since the juice is now not running through the system properly I won't be able to decipher if something else, like the controller got fried too???

Hoping to not make 2 or more trips to buy parts. i got a wierd reading when troubleshooting the controller....full volts with b+ and m- .....the no volts in fwd, peddel down....I assume that''s because the blown fuse is blocking the power?!

I'm just going to buy f & r microswitches as a just in case the other is about to go.

Just move the wire to the main + terminal on the pack and you should be good to go.

Interlocking reed switch is a weak link that blows for no apparent reason and was dis-missed a few years later.

Thanks Scotty. Minor detail that I left off original post....sorry. I atttempted to bypass the interlocking reed. Caused sparks to fly...which then led me to thinking that one of the microswitches has become grounded.

I just realized something while I was typing....I went back out and bridged the reed in different gears....so no sparks in neutral and forward....that means the reverse microswitch is toast. Right? Or is it the whole f/r selector that is grounded?

Secondly, the resolution of this only gets me back to the original issue that the cart is not moving in either direction...without me pushing. Reference back to first post...I now need to decipher if the controller is toast.

In a test I had the key on, cart in neutral. Probe on controller....positive on
2nd pin and neg on last pin....I read 38.4 v . ... I'm supposed to get 0v.

So the original problem was the cart would only run if you gave it a push start?

No mods electrically, all stock. Good batteries.

Fixed..it was the solenoid. Short was coming from a buzzer write that the previous owner didn't't clip properly.
The wire short and killed the solenoid which cause this whole problem in the first place.
