Default Who has a bypassed OBC?

I bypassed my OBC to use an aftermarket charger. Who here has done the same?

Im wondering if the battery light on the dash is affected or if it operates normal still. Does it give eronious indications ever?

2000 CC DS 48V is the cart!

Which battery light? The level indicator or the warning lamp? The warning lamp is controlled by the OBC . . .

I only have one on the dash. The ones thats controlled by the OBC. I havent reset my OBC yet.....doing it in about 5 min, but im wondering if it is even reading properly since the new charger bypasses it. I have a 30 sec on/ 5 sec off/ 5 sec on/ 5 sec off light code at the moment. I think I just need to reset but am wondering if I need to even look at that dang light anymore.

So this completely takes it out of the system?

I reset the OBC only for the light to come right back after a few hours. No other issues I can tell. Car is charging great and the new charger shuts off as advertised.

None of the people selling the aftermarket chargers have mentioned the dash light being an issue so im just curious if I have other problems.

I have a wire running from the back of the charger receptacle spliced in to the black wire and it runs to the negative on #6 battery. Do I leave this intact? This was the only modification I was told to do to use my aftermarket charger. So one more wire then from that terminal on #6 to the solenoid and delete the other 2 wires?

Man I appreciatte all the help. I just want to be 100% sure of what im doing before I cut!!!! Plus the carts not in front of me so.........just prepping!

this illustrates the connections at the receptacle if you plan on using it.
