Default Larger tires

If I put larger tires on my cart, will I pick up top end speed? I need tires, and I thought if I'm gonna put 'em on I may as well pick up a little speed right?
Should I go with 10" rims, or keep the 8" offsets, and put the biggest tires I can get on them?

When you go taller on tires you are reduceing gear ratio, little more top end little less bottom end,as far as choice do what looks good to you.

If you upsize the tires to 22" or larger, as mentioned you will have to install a lift kit to clear the tires. If you're changing the wheels anyway, I would go with a 10" diameter wheel minimum. Once you dig into lift kits, a good number of them require at least a 10" diameter wheel to clear the hardware involved with the lift kit. You do most of your riding on roads, trails, or offroad? This would have an impact on tire/lift kit selection.
