What is the right amount of slack for brake pedal
Getting ready to install my RHOX brake switch and notice a lot of play or slack in the brake rod. Basically, there is a good inch of travel before engagement. Now, I know too tight is not good but I'm wondering if I need to tighten it up a little before I mount the switch. Also, is the slack caused by brake lining wear? If I tighten it now, will I need to release it again when I replace the brake linings?

Re: What is the right amount of slack for brake pedal
Hi Greg,
Check out this site. You can get a Service Manual and a Parts Manual for your cart from this site in pdf form for $4.95 each. When you get a project, print out the pages that apply. I already have the one that you will want but it is too large to attach. These the factory service manuals. Get them both as they are very thorough. http://www.servicemanualvault.com/ |

Re: What is the right amount of slack for brake pedal
Just read the relevant pages and am I the only one thinking that is a strange measure of brake adjustment? Not at all what I was expecting! Anyway, I'll go out and check per the manual and move on.
Thanks! |

I recently bought what was advertised as a 1972 Club car Caroche service manual, and a 1973 Club car Caroche service manual. After I had paid for them, I went to do the download and found it was one manual entitled 1970 to 1973 Club car Caroche service manual. I have been trying for three weeks to get a refund with little success so far. Aflyer |

Re: What is the right amount of slack for brake pedal
Thanks for the warning. I just got both the parts and service manuals for my 2010 and they are for years 2009-2011.
