Timing issue
Well the book says to find the timing pointer cast into the case. Damm if i can find it. Help

Looking directy into the opening, find the straight line timing mark on the fan. It is depressed. Mark it with a sharpie or something where you can see the line good. Rotate the piston to TDC. Now the line is just a few degrees from lining up with the pointer. Seems like the pointer is somewhere around 2:00 and is in the foreground compared to the mark on the fan.
If you still can't find it post a pic. Yours may be a little different. By the way, you should be posting in the Columbia sub forum. Harleys are a little different. |
