How do you determine amount of offset needed?
'09 48v CC. Considering 6" Allsport LT lift kit. Is the amount of necessary offset determined by the manufacturer or is there a general rule?

3/5 is the common one but I think the lift sometimes says the of sett needed. Or the place you buy it can help you.

I was talking with All Sports just the other day about this. Granted each situation may be different, but in a DS with the 6" Super Sport lift they said 3+4 is best.

thanks,JB, I'll probably give them a call myself, thinking of getting the long travel instead of the super sport.

3/5 is the same amount of back spacing. Just an 8" rim. The extra inch is on the outside though so it's not any closer to the cart.
