ezgo 1997 electric DCS
i have a ezgo dcs 36 volt im having problems figuring out. on the lift it goes forward and reverse but seems to be over rpm of most carts i have worked on.down on ground it wont go and a1 cable gets very hot i did get it to go by pushing cart once on road it felt like it was going 30 mph i have changed all componets controller ,pot, sol, all out of a running cart i changed motor but had to use the end with the brushes from the problem cart so this still could be a problem area. has anyone had a simular problem should i change motor and what years will work i have some older motors that will bolt up but wiring studs a1,a2 s1 s2 are a little diff thanks for any help Woody

Re: ezgo 1997 electric DCS
Only a DCS motor will work.... I think you have a bad controller.
Have you gone through the basic step by step DCS diagnostics posted on this website? |

Re: ezgo 1997 electric DCS
Why not try just one part at a time?

Re: ezgo 1997 electric DCS
why not pull the motor and just take a look inside the power and heat issue could be a related problem and motor parts are replaceable so there might not be a need to just replace whole unit..........................
