Default Changing the OBC on 95 DS cart.

Need to change the OBC on a 95 DS cart that does not have a rear access panel in the bagwell. What is the best way to get to it? Turn the cart over or try to work from the bottom side of it? Any easy suggestions appreciated.

jack the rear up as hi as you can ( be safe about it ) and work from underneath of it, there are two either 3/8 or 10mm nuts that hold it on.......some OBC,s are setup so you just take 1 nut off and just loosen the other one.........make sure you cut main power to cart.............i use a 1/4 inch ratchett with a 10 inch extension and a swivel socket ......1st time you should be done in an hour but don,t hurry it take your time they arn,t all to bad to change as long as you don,t try to set any speed records..................................

Sometimes it is good to remove the passenger side tire just to access the controller connections and all the zip ties the factory put on the harness BEFORE the body went on Patience is key

dude, thought about that several times but just never tried.............i still question why some of the 95,s didn,t have the access panel it made lots of jobs a peice of cake...one job that sticks out is some of the 96 reagan carts where you have a solenoid in the rear on both drivers and pass. side........how easy if it just had the access panel but no lets make them work their butts off on this one.....................................

The engineers that design these of of things never have to work on them, or they would do better.

Here's the easiest way... and no.. I'm not joking.... Take the batteries out... Lay a big blanket on the passenger side of the car and flip it completely on it's side. Been doing it this way for years. I don't crawl under electric cars at all anymore. Had one fall on a co-worker once and I haven't been under one since.

Don't know about the pannel on some have a new body on mine so have pannel but first time took body off on 97 as it ha no rear seat. Then when did the 95 just did through the access cover. Either way was an easy job, but here is a man doing it for the first time he would have an east time doing it only have to take f-r switch loose, and plug loose thinking about 10 screws he could remove body. see where wires run and be able to do what needs done.
