Default 89 club car no reverse Help!

i will start off and say i am not great with electrical components, but i am trying to help a family friend with there club car 89 v-drive resistor system.
When you move the unit to reverse i get a audiable click at the solonoid, but nothing happens with the motor.

I thought it was the forward/reverse switch causing issues so i went ahead and swapped that out with a new micro switch , which did not fix anything.

Exactly how is the reverse circuit wired threw these carts?

I dont think it would be the v-glide as i thought that was for the foward speeds only, im thinking a bad noid now?

Any input please?
Thanks in advance!

that was the switch assembly that i replaced, thinking it was bad originally.

As for pack voltage i honestly didnt check it because it would go forward with no issues

thinking outside the box, im guessing the green wire is the power that feeds the reverse side of that circuit, and odds are voltage is low on that bank which would cause the noid to fire but not enough power to move the motor? and then when you go forward , its just running low voltage ?

i dont have great access to troubleshooting this in a timly manner, but i will see what i can do.

reverse is half the voltage that fwd is....if you are low on pack voltage , it may move fwd , but not backwards....move the green reverse wire from the #3 battery to the same spot the red one is....but be careful, 36 volt reverse is fast....jack up rear wheels for safety...

From the manual...Pack pos and neg disconnected

1.3. With the F&R switch in the REVERSE position, place the red (+) probe on the common terminal
lug (with brown wire attached) of the F&R switch, and place the black (–) probe on the
movable contact (with the white wire attached) on the forward and reverse rotor (Figure 11-
14, Page 11-11). The reading should be continuity.
1.4. With the Forward/Reverse handle in the REVERSE position, place the red (+) probe on the
reverse terminal lug of the F&R switch (with green wire attached), and place the black (–) probe
on the movable contact (with the purple wire attached) on forward and reverse rotor (Figure 11-
15, Page 11-11). Reading should be continuity.

im more of an "explorer"....no manuals , no directions..... I do like wiring diagrams though... those old carts are more of a "move this wire there " thing in my experience....
