Re: v-glide use with allrax controller
A side note to the values of the resistor values discussed above. The values of the resistors is not critical when using an Alltrax controller as long as they add up to 5k Ohms. You could use 6 820 Ohm resistors (4920 Ohms) and simplify the conversion. With the Alltrax Toolkit software, you can configure the throttle response curve any way you wish. The controller is not dependent on the resistors to set the response curve. Just a thought.

Re: v-glide use with allrax controller
In theory...yes, but I doubt the seat of the pants test will reveal any real significant difference. All that will really be accomplished is to simplify the conversion and make the throttle curve linear. The controller won’t care either way. If you don’t like it, change it in the s/w.

Re: v-glide use with allrax controller
Where does the 3rd wire terminate? I understand on the last post of the vglide but where on the alltrax controller? Does this change it from a resistive signal input to a voyage input? +, -, & signal? #1 (post3) to the battery -, #2 (post1) "the wiper" to controller j5, and the the new #3 wire at the last/top post (post 9) in the vglide goes to the controller j4 terminal? Or am I missing something here? What does the throttle type need to be set to in the software with the 3 wire config? Also on the alltrax drawing they are calling the wiper #2 which is actually post #1 in the vglide is that right?

Re: v-glide use with allrax controller
The connections for the Multi-Step potentiometer (aka: VGlide) are as follows:
VGlide post #1 to Alltrax J5I think in the SR Controller they just refer to the throttle as "Club Car". |
