Aftermarket shocks
I seen a couple of threads on shocks but I'm still curious. I have a 4 inch lift with rear HD springs. What is a good auto shock to use for this lift and what would be a good shock for a 6 inch lift? Both carts are EZGO 2004-2005 PDS. Both use shocks with stem mounts. Thanks

Re: Aftermarket shocks
There are numerous threads related to this subject. Personally other than while doing a LT lift I have always used the stock shocks so I can't advise you regarding this.

Re: Aftermarket shocks
I figured as much because it doesn't look like shock placement changes in terms of extending shock to capacity. I was just curious if anyone had a preference on auto shocks, but thank you for you input..Hope I didn't offend anyone with my earlier reply, I was just laughing at myself

Re: Aftermarket shocks
There are several Monroe shocks that will work but with a caveat that those shocks are designed for a much heavier application. NAPA seems to be the consensus place to provide a cross over using only closed/extended lengths. Also, typically the auto shocks are larger in diameter than the GC's so interference may be an issue.

Re: Aftermarket shocks
Thanks, sounds like NAPA may get a visit here soon. I was wondering how the ride would be though, even if you got a shock for a light bodied vehicle.
