Default Lowered with a big block - The new build "Madness" has started.....

No longer Deleted...........The progess is slow, but so far so good. Some pix's of Tom's (Cartpartsplus) amazing kit. In reality.. the brakes and steering can't handle all the tourque and speed ! THANKS TOM ! Now for 12" customs in the rear, 10" up front. (Pix's to follow). Now "custom" "Spider" dual roll bars (Pix's to follow) and Body work. My mind is thinking ....Steel city grey with black "SS" badging and Grey and black seat covers. Please feel free to pick a differant color choise.....(I may just go with it ) Will post soon. Later Dave

A stock height cart with a big-block!! That thing is gonna haul. The only ther one I have seen is one of Tom's yami's.

Are you gonna change the gearing in the rear?

Tom's suggestion was "High speed gears" to keep the "RPMS and TOURQE " range at (I beleive) 3800/4800 rpms....Better suited to change the rear end gears (for more speed) then the "cam and rev kit"....But this car has so much tourque and speed......the steering and brakes can't keep up with it! The wheels and tires arrived today. 10" (not really low profile) in front....The rears (12" NOT LOW PROFILE!!!) 12" by 23" tall. My work next will be to "stretch" the rear frame to accept the rear wheels and tires! Then the inner fenders. My dual exhaust arrived from "BC" Canada also....wanted true dual exhaust......but my better judgement will be 2 into 1 and 2 cone mufflers. This build just doesn't stop. Thanks for the interest. Will post pix's as the build continues. Later Dave

Went to the shop today to work on the car. These rear tires are almost to big! Stretched the rear frame some, still not enough clearance. Cut/modified rear main frame ends. Cut and folded side rails. Cut and mounted plastic inner fenders. Cut and mounted plastic side rail covers (cut the plastic at the front). Used a "drop" panard bracket (from an old lift lit). Cut and fabricated and welded the exhaust and fabricated a stiffining mount off the differancial cover bolt holes. Still not true dual exhaust..(one into one and two out). Not the exhaust "note" I was looking for...Maybe will install (Tom's) back on it again. I really hope my body/paint guy hasn't started the rear body! Looks like the wheel openings will need alittle working. So hears the pix's. Hope it's not to long of a post. Later Dave
