Can anyone point me to a seller of an arm to attach to throttle post.. The pivot arm for throttle to remove the small plastic cap and other assorted crap related to the original parts. Lookin to just use cable to carb arm..

Re: Predator 420 Carb Linkage
Some of the kart racing hop up parts suppliers offer throttle setups. You might try googling "go kart racing throttle" or something similar.
I have stumbled across something like you described when searching for other parts. But I have no idea where that was now. Sorry I can't provide a link. |

Re: Predator 420 Carb Linkage
If I see that correctly the linkage is longer than the plastic cam and would give better throttle feel and require greater pedal travel from idle to WOT. Is that right Shepard?
Would it fit the butterfly shaft on my 625 VC carb? I could still use more gradual throttle opening. |

Re: Predator 420 Carb Linkage
Shepherd, that is the type I was searching for, Rooster put me on right trail of which I saw a workable setup , but, was for other engines not similar to the 420. I had some years ago for tillitsons but cannot find after selling all karting stuff.

Rooster.., I found a guy who messes with the kart carbs,, he is to get back to me with shaft sizes these fit. Have you measured the shaft on your 650?

Re: Predator 420 Carb Linkage
One problem with the idea -- the idle stop is part of the black plastic knob. If you bust it off the shaft there is nothing for the idle screw to hit on -- therefore no idle.

Re: Predator 420 Carb Linkage
I have a Predator 420 in my tractor and the Honda 390 top plate with linkage fits perfectly and came with the linkage. I've made carb throttle lever linkage and the pedal control is no different from a properly setup throttle.
