Default 1994 Par Car

I have had my Par Car for about 2 years. Starts right up and gets up and goes. At the end of last golf season I noticed it started struggling up hills. I bring my cart home and drive it around town during the winter months and didn't notice the drop in speed up hills, however this golf season it was bad getting up hills. I had to go sideways when I had a passenger with me. I checked the belt and it calls for 1 1/8" and that's what I have, belt actually looks pretty new on it.
What am I missing? Goes great on flat ground.

How about the muffler, does anyone else cart seem to run a little loud? I didn't notice any holes, but you can sure hear me coming.

Could be a ton of stuff:

Poor fuel draw, poor compression, bad drive belt, clutch(s) going bad.

Check compression first as it's easiest. Should be 90 lbs or so. Obviously, replace the belt after that. If no results then move on to fuel issues.

Everything runs great on flat ground, it gets moving at a good speed and like I said the belt measures correctly at 1 1/8th wide.
I will test the compression and see where I am at with that. Clutch is maybe bad and not going right? How do I test to make sure that is doing what its suppose to do? block it up and run it and what should I see it do?
