Smile Club car 07 converted to 09 President model

Okay, guys..got a new one for ya..the hits just keep on coming..
I have this cart that when you drive it in reverse the brakes work fine, but when you put it in fwd. they slow grab, then grab like there's no tomorrow, like lock up...any suggestions? its a mechanical issue, and it seems like a pretty simple set up, i just havent taken off the rear hubs yet..
any help would be great, thanks!!

These brakes can do strange things when they get dirty. Pull the drums and clean them thoroughly with brake cleaner and check the pads while you are in there. Let us know what you find.

If you haven't already done so, go to the stickies and download the Owner's, Service, and Parts manuals. There's a chapter on brakes.

Thumbs up Re: Club car 07 converted to 09 President model

hey guys, remember when i said it was an 07 upgraded to an 09? well, come to find out, it only had one upgraded brake cable. two different styles of brake ca bles. so we swapped out the cables and it works fine now. Watch for that you guys, it had one cable with the metal swedge on the end where it connects to to the equalizer and the other one didnt. So, when you pressed on the brake cable, the end without the swedge would go through the bracket holding the cables, and the other cable wouldnt. so, it would pull the brake cables unevenly.
Thanks for the help guys!!..
stay tuned..lol
