G2 Muffler Options
New to the sight and love it. Have had my cart for 4 or years and just now starting to do STUFF to it. I want to thank all of you for answers to questions I had and have already fixed! Next question, I don't want to spend big bucks on a new muffler, can I cut off mine (leaving enough to weld to) and adapt something from a motorcycle or bigger twin like from a lawn tractor. Man this thing holds so much heat, and good lord is it heavy. Anyone done this?

Re: G2 Muffler Options
Welcome to the forum!!
When I had the stock engine in my G9 (should be the same as G2), I cut the muffler open and cleared it out. Then added a larger diameter tail pipe. Worked well and sounded good!! |

Re: G2 Muffler Options
search on my name on buggies unlimited or on this web site for the pictures of my muffler where I cut mine off and then welded on a 250 2 stroke muffler from a dirt bike. it was loud! made the cart sound like a dirt bike.

Re: G2 Muffler Options
I also have cut off the tail pipe on my current muffler on my g9 and then added two holes to the muffler casing. it is quieter than the dirt bike muffler and a little louder than the stock muffler. I will have to take pictures of it later on
