Big block with 28 degree clutch
I'm sure somewhere in here it's been discussed and I have found mention but no answers..I'm in the process of installing a 24hp Honda with cold air intake and performance exhaust in my 96 EZGO..have two questions 1. why not use the 28degree clutch? 2. will the Iskenderian valve springs for the Vangard work in the Honda?clutch is like new.. work by CPP.

re: Big block with 28 degree clutch
I can't speak for the valve springs but the advantage that clutch gave your cart at the low end just isn't needed. It won't hurt but it will slow the take off a wee bit. I would run it

re: Big block with 28 degree clutch
I don't think that the driven clutch clutch 'degree' makes that big of difference on a 24hp Honda conversion, is what I meant I think it's more important that it is a GOOD clutch I've tried both and didn't notice any difference between the two. I don't keep a 36 degree in stock - only 28's, so that is the main reason all our new replacements are 28 degree - plus, I LIKE them

re: Big block with 28 degree clutch
28 degrees should just slow the shift rate a bit, right?

re: Big block with 28 degree clutch
Hearing what I had hoped for..only thing to add is the drive clutch is a NIB Comet 1190 don't think that will be a factor..

No your Nutz.LOL Yes just shifts a little slower, You absolutly do not want the power spring in the driven clutch
