help me!! bring my ez go back to life 36 volt
I have a 94 ez go i believe it is a marathon heres a list of things done and problems
3 new 12 volt deep cycle batteries i know this not the best but what i have to work with the reverse beeper goes off when you put in reverse but will not move in reverse. if i put a jumper on the 2 posts and hot to the motor it runs. used a wiring diagram and fixed all those issues but not sure if it is the solenoid or the multiple little switches the motor is showing 36 volts on 3 of the posts but not sure where to go any help is greatly appreciated |

With the cart on blocks for safety!.....You can put a jump cable across the 2 big terminals on the solenoid and then test it. if it goes then the solenoid or the solenoid activation circuit is at fault

no it does not move at all i just tested the voltage from the b+ to the m- it was at 20 volts and did not change when i used the throttle pedal someone said the controller might be bad it is a curtis model 1204-027.
is there a way to test the controller or take it apart. |

I would bet the controller is bad... These carts are known for the controllers going bad. I would recomend getting an Altrax Controller. They are the same price or cheaper than the stock curtis controllers and have a 2yr warrenty. Not to mention if you get the programmable controller you'll be moving along a bit faster! :)

Re: help me!! bring my ez go back to life 36 volt
If you are very lucky it is the micro, but if it is not you need to make sure you check every other option before saying it is the controller. That seems to be the first thing everybody always thinks is the controller but be warned you will be kicking yourself if you spend $400.00 on a new Alltrax and it does not work either. There are a couple of stickies I believe and if not you can look through the EZ-GO manual for the procedures to test the controller to see if it is actually bad. Good luck and "come on microswitch".
