Battery concern
Hi everyone,
I was wondering, I bought my G2 to run around at our cabin, We get out there maybe once a month but sometimes it's three to four months. Will the battery last between visits or should I disconnect in between visits? Will I have to charge it every time I go over there? and can you compression start if the battery is dead? Mike |

Re: Battery concern
Any chance you have an outlet for a battery tender?
This might be a good candidate for a solar trickle charger? |

Re: Battery concern
I left mine in a shed all winter for 4 years on a used battery and it started every spring. The last time it didn't, I jumped it and ran it around and it was OK. I bought a $35 battery the cheapest walmart had and that one ran about 6 or 7 years and died. Put a used truck battery in it now, lol. If you only run it short distance at low speeds it will not charge much, you need to run it some when you run it. If you have lights you can tell as it revs up more they get brighter when it charges more. One guy I know would putt around 5mph and actually kill his battery regularly.

Re: Battery concern
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try them out as soon as I get it running. I drove it home (bought it just around the block) and it sat in my garage for a few months while I was cleaning it up and repainting some of it, now it won't start. But that's next thing to do. i'll get it going (with your help) and then I'll bring it out to the cabin.

Re: Battery concern
Make sure you fully charge the cart before you leave it for any extended time and recharge before you ride it the first time and you should be fine.
