Default 1999 Regen 2 / power drive plus brake adjustment???

I am noticing some conflicting information online and figured I would ask the advice of you experts!! :) I noticed some of the brakes on these models have adjustment studs on the back side of the drum but mine do not have those. It has the spring underneath where they join together. Is adjusting that spring the only adjustment that I can make? Thanks all!

They're self adjusting. That's what the little gear looking wheel on the bottom of the brake mechanism does. When the shoes get thinner, the wheel will rotate and spread the shoes out wider to keep them tight against the drum

I noticed the bolt going through the little gear is threaded. Should it be all the way tight?

With new brakes yes. As they adjust it threads outward.
