Default 1996 TXT ITS Won't Move. No power to Solenoid.

Hello. I have a 1996 TXT ITS. I am able to get it to move if I jump the positive switch side of the solenoid. I don't know where the small red wire is supposed to get its power from. It connects to the controller also, but does it power the controller, or does the controller power it? Please help. I don't know why I'm not getting power there. Thanks.

Check your magnetic switch (reed switch) in the charger receptacle.

Don, seeing as how you have a ITS Throttle, and what you described in your post, you are missing a second red wire that should connect to the PLUS side of your solenoid.

There should be 4 wires coming from the throttle, they should come together into a common connector. the wires are BLACK, WHITE, GREEN, & RED. Then you should have a flat 4 wire connector that plugs into the controller which as WHITE, BLACK, ORANGE, & RED. the "pigtail" of wires that plugs into the controller will have a plug/connector that will connect to the plug/connector coming from the Throttle.

now, the RED wire coming from the controller connects to the PLUS side of the solenoid. the Orange one connects to the MS4 switch on the F&R (its gives you 1/2 speed in reverse), and the White and Black go into the connector that goes to the ITS.

The GREEN wire coming out of the ITS goes back to your key switch......

AND the RED wire goes to the PLUS Side if the Solenoid. this is the wire that you are missing.
