Default Rear Axle

I've had my electric E Z GO 2009 RXV...for a couple of years..how do you check if the rear axle oil requires changing...I believe the oil is Mobilube 85W-140 or equivalent
thanks

As far as I know there is no way to check it. EZGO says to change it every five years. Why not go ahead and change it and then you know your good for the next five years.

If the previous owner took care of the cart they would have changed fluid in 2014 (5 years). Now 5 more years after that is 2019. So i would just go ahead and do it. My 2015 is only 4 years old but I bought it used so I done mine as just a regular PM.

It also calls for 2 ounces of a friction modifier. I just put in 27 ounces of Royal Purple 85W-140, because it already has the modifier in it.
