The most popular upgrade for this cart is the Alltrax SR500 controller and the MZJ400 solenoid. If you shop around you can find a killer deal on this combo

In a series cart the top speed will be the same with 400 or 500 amps. If the cart is otherwise stock you may not notice the difference between 400 & 500. But, if it has big tires and/or a motor that can utilize the amperage the power will be greater when you need it. Hope this helps

Scottyb won't say this directly but he sells the combinations you are looking for at probably better prices than you can get elsewhere - just check out his site http://www.cartsunlimited.net/. Or you can check in with David at Revolution Golf Cars (https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/) who will also give you great advice, service and prices.

Both of those gents are long-time supporters of this forum.

We are an FSIP dealer. We used to use their Series controls in our conversion kits. We became frustrated with the failure rate and found the warranty refusal rate absolutely unacceptable.
We now sell Alltrax controls exclusively because honestly I cannot find a better alternative at any price. Plus they have the best and longest warranty of any controller. Heck I've even seen them give new replacement controllers to customers who totally destroyed their controller and one guy who was 4 weeks past the 2 year limit.
