Polishing and Color Sanding

Can you color sand and buff AFTER you have applied wax?

Yes you can, just wipe it down with some wax and grease remover first to remove the wax. What kind of paint are we talking here, base/clear, rattle can, other?

It is base/ clear, applied about a month ago. There are a couple of areas that have a little orange peel that I think I can improve but I may not do it for a while and I want to wax the cart.
