Default Brake Light Wiring

All

Newby to the thread but looking for help as I wire a 2006 G22. Ive replaced everything (admiral motor, 500a controller, solenoid, reducer, fuse box) and am adding an underbody light kit. The kit has a wire that says it can be mounted to the positive of the brake sensor to act as a brake light. Currently I do not have brake lights installed and was hoping to use this as an option.

Question is, the G22 has mechanical brakes and not seeing a sensor. Anyone know where I would wire this lead to for brake light functionality?

You need to add a switch on the brake pedal for brake lights. These carts did not come from the factory with lights - any you see with lights had them added.

My G29's both came from a dealer that installed the lights. All of the carts around here have after market lights that dealers installed so that they could drive them around on our local streets. None of the wiring shows up on the Yamaha schematics. Light kits are fairly straight forward. You can get a brake light switch from any of the places that sell parts for carts. On my carts (G29's) the switch is down where the brake cable is under the floor. I have not seen or worked on a G22.

Thanks. I think overall normal light kits would be straight forward but tying it into the underbody lights that will need to work independent of the brake switch is what Im struggling to visualize.
