Alright guys I need your expertise!!
I am a golf course mechanic and I thought I would help this guy out with his cart. He took out his battery's and replaced them. Replaced his cables. Problem is he forgot where the wires went. When I got it I seen he hooked them up in series + to + and - to - end result 6.5 volts. I need a elec. schematic for this thing. I called ezgo they say it's older than 79 and they have nothing on it. This is what I have.

Re: Alright guys I need you expertise!!
He has the batteries hooked in parallel. They need to be hooked up in series configuration.

My mistake I said series but meant parallel.

After you get 36v to play with, wouldn't it just be a matter of polarity to the FNR and motor?
Check out the "Resistor Cart Wiring" sticky at the top of this forum. That schematic should tell you what you need to know. |

I've never messed with a cart like this. The motor has four wires coming off of it. Where would they hook up to?

I want some of what he's smoking!
Okay, not really.... LOL you can wire this up a couple of different ways... but that ain't one of them. For starters here is a battery diagram and a Marathon diagram...... make it look like this and it will work. FIG E |

Re: Alright guys I need you expertise!!
You have been around golf carts you know they all work about the same, well by the same applied theories any way except the Harley D electrics!?
So don't get hung up in the green wire this or the red wire that. Apply a working understanding of the solenoid activation and the speed wiper delivery system. If you get stuck these guys can help! |
