Default 2004 ezgo txt

Hi guys,

I wanted to ask all of you about the 2004 EZGO TXT Golf Cart. I'm looking to buy one that hasn't been used for around 7 years and I would like to know if there's something I should be looking out for (parts that should need change or that frequenlty break in this model). It is from a guy I'known for years and the offer is 450€ (I'm from Spain) which is around $530. Thanks for your help!

If it has been sitting that long, I would remove fuel and replace with fresh, install new fuel lines, new fuel filter, change oil, new spark plug and adjust valves. Carburetor will likely need cleaned as well.

Of course it will probably need a new battery.

Yeah... In Spain they are also very expensive , you can get like a 15 year old Yamaha Gas that runs normaly for 1600€ and that's cheap. That's why I asked for advice as soon as I heard the price I became very interested.

The fuel tank is practically dry, but I will take a look at the fuel lines. Thanks for the advice!

Ps: Are those 295cc engines any good? In terms of reliability and power.

In my opinion they are very good engines when properly maintained and not abused.

Had a 2000 txt for 16 years now used around the property, cleaned the air filter from time to time, changed the oil regularly and spark plugs twice (probably didn't need the second time), it's never been abused but would run the pants off my 350 Workhorse.

Yeah, they are quite common golf carts here and things like oil filters, spark plugs, carburetors are relatively easy to find. If there's something I can't find here I'll just buy them online and get them shipped over here (shipping normally costs more than the actual part unfortunately)

Cool! Just went to pick up mine today and it does crank but it doesn’t move so I’m taking it to the mechanic for him to clean my carb and see if that’ll be it.
