Default Charge Meter CGR-106

I installed a led charge meter cgr-106 tonight and its acting funny.
When the cart is off, all led segments are on very dim. When I select key on + forward it acts normal. Shows 1 bar full, same with reverse.
I installed terminal 4to+, 2to- and 1to white/yellow wire.
the cart is 2004 pds.
Any ideas? Im not sure if this is normal. I would like all lights to go off.
I also tried hooking the meter straight to 36v, terminal 4 and 2 on meter, and all leds are on dim.

I should know this by heart... sadly - I forget the color....

Take a volt meter and determine the correct color wire that will have 36 volts with the key switch in the on position. Then you have a 36 negative and a 36 direct to the battery pack.

Hook volt meter back up and make certain that you aren't getting any trace voltage.... if you are it could be a bad key switch.

I would bet that if you switch to TOW that the LED's will go off completely. I have seen very many DCS carts act this way. Doesn't seem to be an issue however.

I think the meter is at fault or this is how they work? Run/tow has no efect.
I swaped this meter into my 2001 pds and it acts the same. I realy did not want to go back and return it, its a long drive. I was just wondering if this was normal for this gauge?

man thats why i just put the analog meters in.........i,m just to lazy to want and try troubleshooting the L.E.D,s.......last LED i did was on a yama the cust. had problem with and after the mess of wires and 2 different terminal blocks and a 3rd one on barttery pack never again.............call me what you want but for the money the ease of install and the accuracy i,ll stick to putting the analogs in and send the LED,s to the young bucks who want to learn.........................................
