Default That was... interesting

The battery in my 2000 EZGO ST350 just exploded. It decided to do so when my backside was on the seat, directly over it.

Now, to wait for the clean up to dry out so I can try to it back into its hiding place.

In addition to a new battery, I think I might want to replace the voltage regulator.

So called maintenance free batteries will get low on water and over heat and explode.

That is very true.

I'm not a huge fan of them, but that's what this battery was... it's pretty ugly.

Hook up you volt ohm meter and go for a ride wide open.

Yeah Batteries can be dangerous. Had them explode in cars on me at work .Not good.

The last time I can remember having a battery actually exploded was in grandfathers RV. One of chassis batteries went.

Yeah. The baking soda neutralizes the acid so it stops the damage in its tracks.
