My Carts
Here are my two Yamaha's. The 1996 G16 has a 6" double A arm lift, This cart was frame off restored and enhanced, frame is done in hammered Graphite. All other components in a satin black. Motor is a 301, with the Plowmans hot setup, black secondary clutch spring, plowman milled sheave. Govenor is bypassed using Don Plowmans technique. All fluids are mobil one. Body is a factory Burgundy, yamaha headlights, carbon fiber dash, steering wheel and column cover, and the other obvious trim, pedator wheels and all-trails. I'll take and post some other pics now that I know how, that show more detail. The 2008 Sandstone metalic I just picked up Friday, It has ss112 rims and a Jakes 6" spindle lift. My plans for this cart include a 23hp Vangaurd I will order this week from Tom at Carts Parts Plus with some HP modifications (then once the 357 is broke in I"ll swap the plowmans parts and put it in the G16). As far as body or apperance modifications billet steering wheel, YDR Headlights and taupe carpet. There is something about the clean lines of this cart that I like so I doubt I'll do anything to change them, kinda the less is more idea.

Re: My Carts
Very very very nice carts! How is the Drive on power with the larger tires? I'm sure that 23hp V-twin will solve any problems it may have.

Re: My Carts
Actually it feels more tourqey than the modified 301.. I was suprised, the 301 in the G16 is old but still tests very well as far as compression goes. I"ll keep you updated, weird driving a stock cart since it is so much slower than the G16. I was curious when I first drove the 2008 it had great take off.. made me wonder why my modded 301 felt weak. Maybe it's in the gearing of the 2008. I'll look into it, and post my findings.

Re: My Carts
I'm starting to really like "yamis" (Don't read this NO NO)!
What is that bar running across the back b/t the lift, I haven't seen that before. Looks like some kind of extra stabilzer or something? |
